Large Industrial Rollers & Conveyor Drums, Built Where Others Stop
Rollers, drums and pulleys up to Ø3,200 mm, 6,000 mm long and 12 tonnes, turned, ground, hard-chrome plated and balanced to your drawing. Plus conveyor idlers and smaller rollers in series.
The Big Rollers Most Roller Shops Can't Turn
Most roller suppliers are built around standard conveyor idlers. When a roller gets heavier than a few hundred kilos, or wider than a standard lathe swing, they send it elsewhere. That's where we start.
Our heavy lathe in Pınarbaşı, İzmir takes roller bodies up to 3,200 mm in diameter, 6,000 mm long and 12 tonnes. We weld the shell, turn it in one setup where the part allows and balance the finished roller before it ships. Rolls that need a ground or chromed surface are ground and hard-chrome plated across the full size range, up to Ø3,200 mm.
- Drive drums and head pulleys for high-tension belt conveyors
- Large process rolls for paper, steel and processing lines
- Heavy welded roller shells with stepped shafts
- One-off replacement rolls and repeat orders on a frozen drawing

From Drawing to Balanced, Ready-to-Install Roller
Drawing & feasibility
We review dimensions, tolerances, material, bearing arrangement and surface spec, and flag anything that adds cost without adding life.
Shell & shaft preparation
Tube or rolled-plate shells, end discs and shafts are prepared in the specified grade with heat-number traceability.
Welding
End discs, hubs and shafts are welded under EN 1090 EXC3 and ISO 3834-2 control, with stock left for machining.
Turning & grinding
The shell and journals are turned on our heavy lathe, then ground to the runout and surface finish on the drawing.
Coating & balancing
Chrome plating, rubber or ceramic lagging, PU coating or paint is applied, then the roller is dynamically balanced.
Inspection & packing
Dimensional check, 3.1 certificates, bearings fitted if required, and export packing on skids or in crates.
Worn Roller? Repair It or Replace It, Fast
A stopped conveyor or process line costs more every hour than the roller itself. We repair worn rollers and drums, or build an exact replacement from your drawing, a measured sketch or the old part.
- Regrinding and rechroming of worn roll surfaces
- Journal and bearing-seat repair by build-up welding and machining
- Relagging of conveyor drums in rubber or ceramic
- Reverse engineering of rollers with no drawing available
- Rebalancing after repair
Rollers for Heavy Industry and Process Lines
Wherever material moves on a belt or a web runs over a roll, a roller decides how long the line runs between stops.
A Roller Manufacturer With Heavy-Machining Muscle
Size range few can match
Ø3,200 mm, 6 m and 12 t on our own heavy lathe, so large rolls stay with one supplier from welding to balancing.
Grinding and balancing
Rollers are ground and dynamically balanced, not just turned, for smooth running and long bearing life.
Complete or bare
Order the roller bare, or complete with shaft, bearings, housings and lagging, ready to install.
Certified welding
Part of Nika Steelworks: ISO 9001, EN 1090 EXC3 and ISO 3834-2 welding quality since 1972.
Big and small
Heavy one-off drums and series production of idlers and small rollers, on the same quotation process.

Questions About Our Rollers and Drums
What is the largest roller you can manufacture?
We turn, grind, chrome-plate and balance rollers and drums up to 3,200 mm in diameter, up to 6,000 mm long and up to 12 tonnes on our own heavy lathe in İzmir, Türkiye. Send the dimensions and weight and we confirm feasibility.
Do you grind and balance rollers?
Yes. We grind rolls up to Ø3,200 mm to 0.01 mm size and runout with surface finish down to Ra 0.2 µm, and dynamically balance rollers and drums before delivery.
Can you supply conveyor drums with rubber lagging, bearings and housings?
Yes. Conveyor drums and pulleys are supplied with rubber or ceramic lagging, shafts, bearings and housings, ready to install. Bare drums are also available.
Do you repair worn rollers?
Yes. We regrind and rechrome worn surfaces, repair journals by build-up welding and machining, relag drums and rebalance after repair.
Can you make a replacement roller without a drawing?
Yes. Send photos and measurements of the worn roller, or ship us the old part, and we reverse-engineer it and build a replacement.
Which coatings are available for rollers?
Hard chrome plating up to Ø3,200 mm, hardening, rubber and polyurethane coating, rubber and ceramic lagging, painting and galvanizing, to your specification.
Do you also make small rollers in series?
Yes. Alongside large rollers we make conveyor idlers, small and medium rollers and roller shafts in repeat batches.
Where do you ship rollers?
We ship from İzmir across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa by road and container, on EXW, FOB, DAP or DDP terms.
Industrial Roller and Conveyor Drum Manufacturer for Europe and Beyond
Nika Rollers is the roller division of Nika Steelworks, a steel manufacturing company in İzmir, Türkiye working with steel since 1972. We manufacture industrial rollers, conveyor drums and pulleys, conveyor idlers and roll equipment for mining, quarrying, cement, paper, food and metal processing companies, and for the machine builders and engineering firms that supply them.
Large diameter rollers up to Ø3,200 mm
Large rollers are where a roller supplier proves its equipment. A drum of two or three metres in diameter needs a lathe with the swing to hold it, cranes to move it and a team that has machined heavy parts before. We turn large diameter industrial rollers up to 3,200 mm in diameter, 6,000 mm long and 12 tonnes, so heavy rolls do not need to be split between several subcontractors. The same team that welds the shell turns, grinds, plates and balances it.
Conveyor drums, pulleys and idlers
For belt conveyors we build conveyor drums and pulleys in every position: drive and head pulleys, tail pulleys, bend, snub and take-up pulleys. Drums can be supplied with rubber or ceramic lagging, complete with shaft, bearings and housings. Along the belt, our conveyor rollers and idlers and conveyor stations carry and guide the load, from standard carrying rollers to impact idlers under transfer points.
Ground, chrome-plated and coated process rolls
Process lines demand more than a turned surface. We grind rolls up to Ø3,200 mm to 0.01 mm runout through our roll grinding service, apply hard chrome plating for wear and corrosion resistance, and supply rubber and polyurethane coated rollers for grip, cushioning and food-contact applications. Press, calender and guide rolls are dynamically balanced so they run smoothly at line speed.
Roller repair and replacement rollers
Many of our orders start with a worn roller and a stopped line. Our roller repair and refurbishment service covers regrinding, rechroming, journal repair, build-up welding and relagging. When repair is not worth it, we build replacement rollers from your drawing, a measured sketch or the old part itself.
Heavy turning beyond rollers
The machines that turn our largest rollers also turn other heavy cylindrical parts: shafts, shells, sleeves and rings. If you need a large part turned to drawing, see our heavy lathe turning services and roll and heavy shafts. For hydraulic cylinders, we also make pistons and piston rods in series. For welded frames and fabrications for the same machine, visit Nika Steelworks; for gears and transmission parts, visit Nika Gears.
Why buy rollers from Türkiye
European and Middle Eastern buyers choose a roller manufacturer in Türkiye for competitive pricing, short delivery routes and the ability to handle large, heavy parts. Rollers leave İzmir by road to Europe or by container worldwide, with dimensional reports and EN 10204 3.1 certificates.
